Dave “Rocky” Haney
Rocky grew up in Pennsylvania his whole life. Most of his time was spent in the Lehigh Valley where he attended and Graduated from Dieruff High School in Allentown in 1996. After a year of community college he spent two years working various jobs. During this time is when he accepted Jesus into his life as his Lord and Savior. In the fall of 1999 he began attending Philadelphia Biblical University. He studied there for 4 years with a Major in Biblical Studies. At PBU Rocky was a member of the Men’s basketball team for 4 years and also played volleyball for 2 years. Rocky met his wife Becky in his Junior year at PBU. They were married the summer after Rocky graduated in 2003. Rocky began working at Davis Acura while attending PBU’s Graduate program for his master in Bible. Rocky also volunteered at Grace as a youth leader from 2003 to 2005 until the church asked him to come on as the youth pastor. In May of 2005 Rocky began working at the church as the Youth Pastor and has been here since then. Rocky and Becky moved to NJ in 2008 and welcomed their first child Isabella into their lives in March of that year. Rocky still loves to play basketball, and a few other sports. He loves working with the youth at Grace and loves spending time with his wife.

Rocky’s Life
It is now March 24th, I can’t believe this year is just flying by. A lot has happened since I last updated on here and that is probably the reason I havent updated in some time. So to get you all caught up here we go.
Becky and I finished the house in Jan. and moved in on the 26th. We had a ton of help which we are very thankful for. The next few weeks were spent putting things away and doing some finishing touches on some rooms, mainly Isabella’s room. But we are pretty much finished just need to work on some small things. Then I will be heading outside to do some landscaping. Can’t wait for that I love working on that kind of stuff.
Now the really BIG news. Isabella arrived on March 11th at 2:34pm. She was 7 pounds 10 ounces, and 21 1/2 inches long. She is perfect. Her and mommy are doing great. We are all getting used to each other, and Becky and I are learning what it means to be parents. Wow it is a lot and she has only been here two weeks. Sometimes I wonder if I can do this, be a daddy, but then I remember as long as I rely on Christ he will see me through. But she is great. We aren’t getting much sleep and Becky is getting less than I am. But hopefully that will start to change.
Pastor Dave, will be graduating from his chaplain school in about a week. Then he will be coming up to visit for a little while. Can’t wait for that, it is going to be a great time.
